Mentoring Ministry

KIDS HOPE USA develops one-on-one relationships through the creation of church-school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk kids in supportive, mentoring relation-ships. Mentors spend just one hour per week, reading, talking, playing and listening to a child at school. Helping a child feel loved and valued helps that child to learn, grow and succeed.

One simple thing will make a big difference in the life of an at-risk child: One-on-one, positive attention from a responsible, caring adult. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church invites you to be the one person who helps a child succeed.  Please consider one of the following ways to make a difference in a child’s life:
  • MENTOR: give my love to a child one hour per week at the school.
  • PRAYER PARTNER: be the person who upholds the child, the mentor and the relationship in life changing prayer.
  • SUBSTITUTE MENTOR: be available to stand in for a mentor who must miss a session.
